, Axton, VA 24054 Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm Position Overview In this role, you will coordinate the sales and operational function for in-person customer sales transactions at the yard, including managing driver operations and payments, managing payment receipts, organizing customer transactions, and managing general site operations.
As a member of the yard operations team, you will provide direct support to the Site Manager and provide excellent service to customers.
You will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Regional Production Manager, and Regional Controller on coordination of yard activities.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions 1.
Manage driver operations and payments Check-in delivery drivers Process COD payments from drivers Monitor manifest until all invoices have been paid or credited (to ensure every stop/part on the driver manifest is accounted for.
Either delivered, returned, re-scheduled) Process $0 credit report.
This includes transaction investigation, moving payments, and issuing credits to be refunded.

Manage payment receipts Processing credit card receipts from Sales staff Process credit card payments received by delivery drivers Prepare Daily cash deposits Scan check deposits into bank account Balance yard cash drawers and CODs Refund credit card transactions as needed 3.
Organize customer transactions Maintain and update customer sales tax forms in Pinnacle Obtain and maintain customer 1099's and W9's Active participant in New Customer email group Regional sales operations, depending on yard location 4.
Site Management Mark titles for crush.
Contact DMV for pickup of crush vehicles.
Scan vehicle titles into Pinnacle Maintain company vehicle titles File salvage titles from auctions Process customer and vendor mail File fuel receipts Supply ordering 5.
Perform Other Duties as Assigned and Assist with Special Projects as Needed-Cross-Training Duties as Listed Below Monitor and report open COD report to dispatcher and sales Process open RMA's, calling customers to schedule pick-ups Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements High School diploma; or minimum of 2-3 years of experience with cash handling and Sales / Customer Service.
Associate degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school a plus.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience with cash collections.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required with a commitment to act with an elevated level of professionalism during all transactions both internally and externally.
Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word with the aptitude to learn new systems and software.
Working knowledge of on-site database sales software (Pinnacle preferred).
Must be able to work effectively alone or with others in a matrix team environment.
Must be able to work collaboratively across functions outside of Sales.
Must be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to essential functions described above.
Must demonstrate good attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
